Q14. Does it record the closed captions?
A: The only way to record the broadcast with closed captions is via a VCR or other external recording device.
However, if you have a TV set that supports Teletext, you can view closed captions by turning Teletext on, on your TV set, as the PVR-X10 also records the teletext transmission. However, as PVR's are generally not designed to playback recorded Closed-Captions, you may experience some delay.

Q15. Can I change the Hard Disk for one with a larger capacity?
A: The hard drive that comes pre-installed with your PVR-X10 has been customized for use specifically in the PVR and therefore will not accept a different hard drive, regardless of capacity.

Q16. Can I record from an analogue source (e.g. DVD player, Camcorder, VCR e.t.c.)?
A: No, the PVR-X10 only allows recording of free-to-air digital television broadcasts.

Q17. Poor Reception/ Can't pick-up certain channels?
A: It may be necessary to rescan your channels by going to Factory Defaults and rescanning via Australia and choosing <other> as your State. See this link, for a step-by-step guide.

For ideal reception, make sure you have a relatively new antenna and suitable coaxial cable setup.
